- How much is an apprentice paid?Pay depends on your age and on which year of the contract you are in, and is a percentage of the French minimum wage set by law. Our pay calculator gives the figure that applies to your situation.
- What is the difference between an apprenticeship and a professionalisation contract?An apprenticeship leads to a diploma or a qualification listed in the RNCP register and is mainly for people aged 16 to 29. A professionalisation contract leads to a vocational qualification and remains open beyond 29 in certain cases.
- Is there an age limit for signing an apprenticeship?Apprenticeships are open from 16 up to and including 29, with no age limit for disabled workers, elite athletes, and people starting or taking over a business.
- Should I find a company before a school?Both steps run in parallel. Many training centres accept an enrolment subject to a contract being signed, usually up to three months after the start of the academic year.
- Is the service free?Yes. Browsing openings and training programmes is entirely free, and you apply directly to the employer or the training centre.
- Where do the listings come from?They come from the public sources of the French apprenticeship system and are refreshed continuously.
